History of Thermal Press International, Inc.Dan Young, president and founder of Thermal Press International, Inc. started Young Technologies in Santa Clara, California in the mid 80's building fixtures and contract manufacturing. Outgrowing this facility he moved the company to Fremont, CA when a customer approached him with a unique problem. It involved staking ESD shields to communications devices. The customer was finding there were limitations to ultrasonic assembly of the shielding to the housing, due to the tight physical part constraints. It was at this time that Dan came up with the original Thermal Press design for plastics assembly. Prior to this design there was not a thermal press machine built for heat staking or even the name. From these early machines he engineered High-capacity systems incorporating Bosch pallet transfer lines to increase throughput. At the same time he developed machines with CCD vision systems for specialty heatsealing applications where controlled pressure and temperature were required to assemble front panel displays and LCDs to PCBs. As time moved on he moved the facility to Livermore,
CA and changed the name to Thermal Press International, Inc. reflecting
the original equipment he was designing and building. Thermal Press International Machines are found all
over the world. Their reliability and repeatability are world renown.
While there might be imitators of his original designs, there is only
one you can Trust,
Thermal Press International |
